ALTA ALELLA recognized with the new cava category “Paraje Calificado”

The winery ALTA ALELLA MIRGIN –brand presenting the ALTA ALELLA cavas- announces the recognition of Vallcirera “Paraje” with the highest category in the cava sector : “Paraje Calificado”. Announced by the Minister of Agriculture, Fishing, Food and Environment, Isabel García Tejerina; the Ministry has approved the first 12 “Parajes Calificados de Cava”, a recognition of quality and singularity that only wineries having a vineyard with exceptional climate and geological conditions can access. The Vallcirera “Paraje” has some exceptional conditions among which stand out the sauló soil and the Mediterranean weather, softened by the Serralada de Marina and vicinity to the sea. It is about a single vineyard where the Pansa Blanca and Chardonnay varieties are cultivated in low yield, destined to the production of two cavas: AA MIRGIN GRAN RESERVA y AA MIRGIN OPUS EVOLUTIUM. In the next few months, ALTA ALELLA MIRGIN will adapt the image of their cavas “Paraje Calificado” to fit the regulations of the Consejo Regulador del Cava.
